THREE INCHES OF SNOW FOR FESTIVAL!

Covered Bridge Festival 2009 was greeted with three inches of snow on Saturday morning!  Our community worked together to move some outdoor venues to indoor and the weekend went well.

Saturday 12:00-2:00 and Sunday 3:30-5:00 join George Washington Carver on a walk with nature!  George will both entertain and educate on plants at the Cutler Bridge located in our beautiful Winterset City Park.    Don't miss this new adventure during the Covered Bridge Festival and Passport to the Past activities!

Patchwork of Memories interviews for coloring book 2008

Each year as part of Passport to the Past, local students create a coloring book to give away as a prize during Covered Bridge Festival activities.  Below are pictures of students interviewing local citizens about their memories of Madison County, Iowa.  Fun was had by all who participated.
