2009 Fundraising underway!

MEET ME AT THE BRIDGE!

The 40th Anniversary of the Covered Bridge Festival is promising to be a fun filled weekend for every age!  Plans for Passport to the Past activities are being laid out and now it's time to raise funds to put together a fun - educational weekend for all who attend.  The festival is a wonderful time to share our Madison County heritage and showcase our fine county.

2009 activities will be inspired by the festival theme

"Meet Me at the Bridge".

What's the story behind the bridges?

Why are they covered?

Wasn't that more expensive than an open bridge?

Who built them?

How much did they cost to build?

Why are they so special?

Keep watching to find the answers to these questions and much more!!

You can help with Passport to the Past activities in several ways.  We are always in need of volunteers to help at the tent on the square, storytellers, helpers, and financial assistance.  The cost continues to increase each year making it more challenging to bring this cultural activity to kids of all ages.  If you can help out by volunteering or by a monetary donation, we can use your help!

If you are interested in learning about volunteering over Covered Bridge Festival weekend (October 10-11, 2009) or by donating items to the annual garage sale (tentative date August14-15, 2009) please call Debbie at 515-462-2134.

If you would like to make a (TAX DEDUCTABLE) donation mail your check to:
